The shift toward putting more marketing and advertising dollars into the mobile medium is proving to be not only effective but profitable.

Independent mobile advertising network InMobi has just released quite a significant study. The Palo Alto-based company found that Americans spend more time consuming media on mobile devices than on TV or PCs. “The report finds that mobile ads now have the largest impact of all media channels on U.S. consumers’ purchase process,” says Anne Frisbee, vice president and managing director for North America at InMobi. The shift toward putting more marketing and advertising dollars into the mobile medium is proving to be not only effective but profitable. Brands will need to keep up with this modern day consumer if they want to stay in the game.

We think that retailers should ensure growth of their own brands by exploring their options in the pre-shop, as well.
